With employment law continuing to evolve at pace, Precept HR & Law has expanded its programme of training events to help employers stay informed, compliant and confident when managing workplace challenges.

Over recent months, the team has delivered a series of online, in-person and client-specific training sessions covering some of the most important issues affecting HR professionals and business leaders today. From the Employment Rights Act 2025 and artificial intelligence to menopause, neurodiversity and trade unions, the sessions are designed to provide practical guidance without unnecessary legal jargon.

The programme combines expert legal insight with interactive learning, including Precept’s popular mock grievance meetings, where the team uses role play to demonstrate both good and bad practice. These engaging sessions have become a favourite among attendees, helping managers build confidence in handling difficult workplace conversations.

Some of the recent training sessions delivered by the team include:

Menopause in the Workplace – Port Vale Football Club, Stoke-on-Trent

Delivered by Rob Tice, this session explored the impact of menopause in the workplace and how employers can better support employees experiencing menopausal symptoms. The session also highlighted the government’s plans for mandatory menopause action plans for larger employers from 2027 and why organisations should start preparing now.

Mock Grievance Meeting – Online

One of Precept HR & Law’s most popular training sessions, the Precept Players used role play to demonstrate both good and bad grievance meetings. Attendees gained practical guidance on handling grievance procedures confidently while ensuring they remain fair and legally compliant.

Boost Your Knowledge of Trade Unions – Online

Philip Pearson-Batt provided an overview of trade unions, their role in the workplace and the latest changes introduced through the Employment Rights Act 2025. The session helped employers understand how evolving legislation will affect workplace relationships and industrial action.

Schools and Education Forum – Barron McCann Innovation Hub, Derby

Led by education employment specialist Philip Pearson-Batt, this forum brought together schools and colleges to discuss the latest employment law developments affecting the education sector. Alongside legislative updates, attendees shared best practice and explored practical approaches to managing disciplinary matters and other workplace challenges.

AI in Employment Law – Online

Alex MacAskill explored how artificial intelligence is reshaping HR and employment law, covering legal considerations, regulatory guidance and practical ways employers can use AI responsibly within their organisations.

Additional Training Sessions

The team has also recently delivered training on:

  • Neurodiversity in the Workplace: Helping employers create more inclusive and supportive working environments.
  • Understanding Disabilities in the Workplace: Providing practical guidance on supporting employees while meeting legal responsibilities.
  • Employment Rights Act 2025: A dedicated client session covering the latest legislative changes and their practical impact.
  • Gender Identity, Unconscious Bias and Disability Discrimination: An interactive client workshop focused on equality, inclusion and best practice in the workplace.

Each session focused on helping employers understand both current legislation and emerging workplace trends, while providing practical advice that can be applied immediately within their organisations. With further events planned throughout the remainder of 2026 and an expanded programme already being developed for 2027, Precept HR & Law remains committed to helping businesses navigate employment law with confidence through practical, engaging and accessible training.
